Hugh Mahon has been a successful artist and arts educator for four decades. He has taught in all grade levels of public school as well as at the college level and in private art instruction.

As a fine artist, he works in multiple mediums, including acrylic, watercolor, collage and assemblage. His recent work with found and recycled materials combines sculpture, collage and assemblage in conceptual works.

Mahon has been given two Perry Awards by the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters for his set designs and painting.

Hugh is very active in promoting art and artists in New Jersey. He is an executive member of the Arts Council of Livingston New Jersey, and President of the Council for the Arts of the Livingston Area., and is a frequent contributing artist and curator with the ACL Gallery.

He splits his time between New Jersey and Maine.
